Although it has been nine years it seems like only yesterday where I went out for a bike ride and didn't come home all summer. My world forever changed. Though I have made a new life a new way doesn't mean I forget how it felt to rise up out of the saddle and pedal harder all the way to the summit. And even then, I wouldn't have chosen to ride on a day like Saturday. A darn miserably cold day for those five brave enough to pedal. Thank you all for your continued encouragement, support and for caring. My handcycle is being fitted for an E-Assist. I was hoping to have it for Saturday, but the weather helped me be ok that it wasn't. Thank you for your contributions to help fund this and make it possible. When I do get my handcycle back I would love to ride alongside you again. Maybe not as fast, maybe not as far but definitely making new memories of climbing my summit.
